# Cure MCOPS12

> Austrian nonprofit funding RNA therapy research and drug repurposing for Syndromic Microphthalmia 12 (MCOPS12), a rare RARB-linked neurodevelopmental disorder.

Cure MCOPS12 was founded by the family of a child diagnosed with MCOPS12. Together with sister organizations A Cure for Sophia and Friends (US) and A Cure for Sienna (Australia), we fund research at IGBMC (France), CHU Sainte-Justine (Canada), AlphaRose RareLabs and NCATS (US). Our two scientific paths are (1) drug repurposing for symptomatic treatment and (2) an antisense oligonucleotide (ASO) therapy that silences the mutated RARB allele.
